The Thomas Lee House (c.1660) is one of the oldest wooden-frame houses in Connecticut, still in its primitive state. Listed on the National Register of Historical Houses, the property is owned and maintained by the East Lyme Historical Society.
    The Little Boston Schoolhouse, relocated to the Lee House property, dates to at least 1734, when it was run by the 2nd Ecclesiastical Society of Lyme. From 1856 until its last class, in 1922, the school was one of several operated by the town of East Lyme.
    The barn on the Lee House property contains several exhibits, including a collection of artifactsfrom the Nehantic  Indians. Here you can also learn about the Turtle, the first submarine, which was designed by David Bushnell and operated by Ezra Lee (a descendent of Thomas Lee) during the American Revolution. There is also a store where colonial games, books, postcards and other items can be purchased.
