MANSFIELD MARKETPLACE FLEA MARKET
GREAT PLACE TO FIND UNUSUAL CHISTMAS GIIFTS

Mansfield Marketplace is the largest flea market in eastern Connecticut. With size naturally comes variety and diversity, of course, but there is another, more important element at work here. Mansfield Marketplace draws out of the surrounding rural areas more underpriced and oddball pieces than this writer hasseen at any other flea market he has shopped during the last ten years, in or out of Connecticut.

For example, this September I found a Tony the Tiger cookie tin that turned out to have been a prize in the 12th World Hot Air Balloon Championship in 1995 at Battle Creek, Michigan, where over 200 giant hot-air balloons competed from over 38 countries. I paid two dollars for the tin.

If you know your way around old glass, pottery, jewelry or furniture, and you’ve got the time to amble through the spacious grounds, you will find interesting pickings at Mansfield Marketplace.
