1709 Connecticut house in its coat of Old Village Paint
|
The russet red Pelatiah Leete House on the shore in Guilford has been featured in full page ads on the inside back cover of Yankee Magazine by Old Village Paint, one of our advertisers, so it was natural that we would want to visit.
Owner Robert Vavasour showed us the carved features of the exterior. Pointing to the next property to the west, he said, “That barn over there is the oldest barn in continuous use in Connecticut. It dates to 1705.”
Robert has graciously supplied us with these photos that show how he has decorated the interior with a combination of antiques and modern pieces. |
